In 1979, when a legacy from Swiss businessman Andrew Pellegrini provided the first funds for the former Pellegrini scholarship, the Swiss Benevolent Society of New York started to award scholarships and grants for education above the high school level. Since then, the various scholarships and grants have made a tremendous difference in the lives of many Swiss-American students and their families.
Our scholarship programs include the SBS Merit Scholarship, the SBS Outstanding Scholastic Achievement (OSA) Award, the SBS Graduate Award and the Medicus Student Exchange Scholarship.
